Celeste woke up when the sun was bright outside, only to find Zillon seated at the edge of her bed, looking straight down at her. She scooted back a bit, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes. “What are y—?”
“Good morning, kitten…”
Celeste wrinkled her nose at the nickname. “Don’t call me that, Celeste is fine.”
“Ki—Celeste…”
“What?”
“Can you stop now? I’m tired…I feel so helpless, just let me explain myself, let me set things straight…please.”
“I really can’t stop and if setting things straight is your aim, then it makes no sense you explain yourself because there’s nothing to set straight, our relationship had been bent from the beginning.”
“Celeste please…”
“Leave me alone.” She turned away from him, facing the walls instead. “I want to see Xavier, even if it’s just a glance.”
