Chapter 21. Unease and Restlessness
Geneva couldn’t figure out what was wrong with her for the last two days. She had been restless and couldn’t bring herself to eat anything or sit still for more than ten minutes. Deep down, she knew she was lying to herself and knew the exact reason why her body was reacting this way, but she was not willing to accept it.
She felt a sense of emptiness and loneliness that she couldn’t shake off, no matter how hard she tried. She wanted to go out and talk to someone, but she didn’t want to admit out loud that Zion’s absence affected her a great deal, way more than she would have liked.
Moreover, the pack members, especially the males, had been avoiding her, and she knew it had to do with a certain Alpha, and it made her blood boil with rage. He didn’t have the right to protect her.
She left her room and roamed around the pack house grounds aimlessly. She wanted to venture into the pack, away from the pack house, but there was no one to ask, as Elena and Lily had been
