Chapter 244

“Lord Talia, it's not what—” Darius dodged under the swing of a heavy blade from one of the seven guardians, and Henry bent low, narrowly avoiding getting hacked into two by the blade. “Lord Talia!”

Darius’s yelling was met with the incoming sound of a spear, and he leapt out of the guardian’s midst to avoid the harsh pressing.

He raised his blade, parrying a blow that aimed for his head, and Henry stepped forward to block another blow. The two changed lines, blocking a blow as they went and attempting to slice the legs of two guardians. However, the guardians parried with their blades before kicking Darius and Henry backwards.

The force from their kick pushed the two beings backwards because of their height, but not too much. The seven guardians circled them, attacking at once and forcing Henry and Darius into defence mode.
