Chapter 256
“Hey, take it easy.” Daniel quickly raised his hand, surrendering as Kusandra stretched the sceptre towards him. He climbed down from his horse with his hand still up, and the knights that followed him, perhaps twenty in number, did the same.
Slowly, Daniel leads the way, walking toward Kusandra and making sure that his emotions are visible. He didn't frown or have a stern expression that might make it look as if he was proud. He lowered his pride completely and prayed with his heart that she wouldn't fry him.
Looking at Lord Paragon and the two enchantresses, Daniel could tell that they were not in good shape. Worst of all, their wounds aren't healing fast. They were sitting on the ground, looking defeated. Kusandra had not only humiliated them; she lowered their pride, making them look like babies in front of King Aragorn.
