Chapter 37. Spy

For a moment, Serena was stunned, not quite understanding what he was getting at. Serena pursed her lips and coldly replied, "There's no need for that!"

"..." The other end of the line fell silent.

Not having time to waste with him, she said, "Fine, I'm in a rush to get back to the hospital, no more small talk."

"Then... take care of yourself. If you run into any problems, feel free to reach out to me!"

She blinked and casually responded, "Got it!" before ending the call on her side.

Walking quickly back, she mulled over what had happened. What was up with Clint? Why was he suddenly so concerned about her?

When they were still married, he never treated her with this much care. Now that they were divorced, he seemed more eager than ever.
