Chapter 55. The Price of Betrayal
“You poisoned the Luna,” one of the elders said coldly. “You aided Zara, a known traitor. You murder a servant of this pack. Do you deny any of this still?”
Sisi said nothing. Her lips trembled, but no words came out.
Damian’s voice was low, dangerous. “You were given a chance to confess. To speak. Now, the truth will be carved out of your silence.”
Lucian moved closer and placed the blood-stained dagger they recovered near Lilian’s body on the table. “We have evidence. Witnesses. A corpse.”
“Please…” she finally whispered, broken. “It wasn’t supposed to go that far—”
“Lilian is dead!” Damian bellowed, slamming his fist into the table, cracking the wood. “She died protecting her brother… protecting you, when you blackmailed her!”
The room went silent. Sisi flinched, the last of her composure unraveling.
“I was just—Zara said she’d fix everything. She promised—” Sisi’s voice cracked, but it was too late. Nothing she could say would redeem her
