Chapter 56. The Light Returns

The moon hung high in the sky, casting silver light across the blood-streaked paths that led back to the Alpha’s estate. Damian and Lucian marched in heavy silence, their clothes stained with the violence of justice. The weight of Lilian’s death, the betrayal, Julianne and Sisi’s execution still clung to their souls like smoke.

Damian has heard whimpers of the Gamma’s wife fallen grievously sick, due to her daughter’s execution. Not that he care though.

Suddenly—

“Alpha!”

A breathless voice shattered the silence.

Damian and Lucian turned sharply as one of the young healers’ servants sprinted toward them, nearly tripping over himself in his urgency.

“Alpha Damian! It’s Luna Ella—she’s… she’s waking up. Her strength is returning!”

Time froze.

Damian’s heart lurched in his chest. For a moment, he couldn’t breathe—then joy surged like wildfire through his veins.

Without a word, he broke into a run.

Lucian followed closely behin
