Chapter 51. Attentions from Mr. President

Racheal stood up to check the dress, seizing the opportunity to avoid Jade's question. Of course she was distrusting, how could she not?

She took the wrapping off the box and opened it. Her dress sat neatly inside it. 

“Thought I'd swapped it with the wrong dress?” Jade said. 

Racheal turned in exasperation at the badgering, “Look…” She began but stopped. She saw the laughter dancing on Jade's face. She smiled, and then they both burst into laughter. 

Luna and Lyda soon arrived with a large platter of hor d'oeuvres, a bowl of diced fruits and a bottle of white wine.
