Book 1: Chapter 49

Michelle’s POV

I turn my attention from my Phone when I hear a low growl outside the door.

My forehead creases into a slight frown because I know for a fact that it is not Enzo. He would have just come into the office.

The growl reaches me again but this time, it is louder and more clear like the person is standing directly outside the door.

Dropping the phone on the table, I stand up and slowly make my way towards the door.

The growls and the snares become more intense as I get to the door and just as I pull the door open, a fisted hand lunges at my face but I quickly duck and the person rushes into the office.

I don’t even have enough time to comprehend what is happening because before I can pull my body from the ground, a hand grabs my neck and backs me against the wall.

This is when I get a good view of the person in front of me. His claws are grabbing my neck in a tight hold while his amber colored eyes tell me who exactly he is.
