Michelle’s POV

I feel a hand snake my waist and I pull closer to him before pushing my eyes open. His scent filters into my nose and I can’t help but smile a little.

After the whole Nicholas saga, Enzo had to leave for an impromptu meeting at the hospital and he just got back.

Ever since I met him, I have developed a bad habit of not being able to sleep if I was not in his arms and that’s the same thing that had happened tonight. It is already past twelve but I am still awake because he was not at home but having him by my side now, I feel like all my problems have finally come to an end.

“You couldn’t sleep without me” his voice filter into my ear, “I am sorry I didn’t come soon”

“I read a book though” I tell him, “and it kept me company”
