Book 1: Chapter 8

Michelle’s POV

The moment I set my eyes on them, my heart skips a beat hoping that neither of them heard what I have discussed with the doctor.

My heart is beating fast against my ribcage as the two of them walk up to us.

“Hello sir” the doctor stands up with respect, “I wasn’t expecting you”

“I brought my fiancée for a checkup” Nicholas announces and I gulped while the doctor looks at me for a split second. I am sure he must understand why I have begged him not to allow Nicolas in on what is happening.

“But it seems you have a visitor” Natalia begins to speak, her eyes rolling to the back of her head and her face looking as expressionless as it can be. I understand the fact that she hates me and I don’t like her either, not when she is responsible for breaking my life into a thousand pieces.

“I was just about to leave” I finally find my voice and turn to the doctor, “I will give you a call”
