When morning came, I was wide awake before the alarm even went off, too eager to wait, too excited to stay still.

I slipped out of bed carefully, trying not to wake Tristan, and headed to the bathroom to shower and get ready.

I took extra care with my appearance, wanting to look nice for this important day.

I chose a simple white sundress that I'd bought specifically for this occasion, nothing too fancy or formal, but special enough to mark the significance of what we were doing.

I did my makeup carefully, fixed my hair, and stood looking at myself in the mirror.

This was it. Today was the day I officially became Mrs. Tristan Hayes.

The thought made me smile so wide my cheeks hurt.
