Chapter 105. Defiance in the Face of Arrogance

Even though what Shelly said sounded like an insult to Taya, it sounded like fear to Stella.

Stella hurriedly stepped forward to stand in front of Taya and apologized on Taya’s behalf. “Ms. Leiner, this patient didn’t know your identity, so she dared to say that to you. I’m really sorry. Please be magnanimous and let her go.”

Stella’s humble pleading made Taya feel even more apologetic. “Stella…” Taya wanted to say she didn’t lower herself, but Stella stopped her.

“You’re just here to get the medicine. I’m not familiar with you. I won’t treat you anymore if you dare to say anything to make Ms. Leiner unhappy again!” Stella was trying to distance herself from Taya. She seemed to want to protect her, so Taya knew better and stopped talking.

Although Taya felt the woman before she was too arrogant, Stella seemed very afraid of her. In order not to cause trouble for Stella, she could only endure it.

Shelly snorted. “You should hand her over to me.”
