Emelyn’s plan failed, and Taya tried to appeal to her emotions. “Ms. Davies, you know that Griffon only cares about me. Keeping my friend hostage won’t do you any good. Why make innocent people suffer?”
Emelyn stared at Taya’s clear and innocent eyes for a while before waving her hand. “Fine, as long as you’re here.” She made a phone call and nodded at Taya after hanging up. “Your friend doesn’t know they have been kidnapped. I just caused some trouble for them. Don’t mention this when you go back.”
So, Harper left early in the morning, and Stella and Henry didn’t come to the villa, not because they were kidnapped, but because Emelyn’s people made things difficult for them. But according to Emelyn, if Taya didn’t come, those people would have harmed Harper and her friends…
However, regardless of who Emelyn was considering, or what she was thinking, it didn’t matter. What mattered was that Harper and her friends were safe, and she could find a way to escape…
