Diana’s POV

My heart began pounding and I could hear it in my ears. It’s my first time being this close to a boy. And a cute one at that! Our fingers suddenly touched and our hands froze. We looked at each other with beet-red faces before shyly turning the other way.

Oh my god… I just touched a boy’s hand! I know I shouldn’t be happy about this since I’m already 16 and this is shamefully the most contact I’ve had with the opposite sex but damn it! My heart is fluttering.

“What’s your name?” He suddenly asked me, a question minutes overdue.

“Diana. Diana Smith.”

He smiled and reached out his hand, “I’m Charles. Charles Wayne.”
