Diana’s POV

We got home in less than an hour. Why does my body feel so heavy when all we did was one dance? Well, I did have a few emotionally and mentally draining encounters and that moment with Harry on that bench.

“Well, that was a long night.” Harry laughed, setting his coat, mask, and tie on the table.

I plopped down on the couch.

“Yeah. It was.”

Harry sighed and sat down beside me.

“You just met the two people you loathe the most in this world. Are you… okay?”

I thought he would still be mad about Charles. My heart turned inside me as he expressed his concern. Am I okay? The truth is I don’t know. I felt rage and anxiety, as well as pride and satisfaction. Overall, it was a balanced feeling.

“I am,” I answered.

“I feel better actually. You should’ve been there when I threw those words at their faces… It’s strange. Talking to them while hiding my identity. Thrilling, even. I don’t feel tired at all.”

He chuckle
