Chapter 96

Harry’s POV

Agonizing thoughts clouded my mind and all I could see in the smog was Diana with Charles.

All of a sudden, this red mist came over me. I didn’t know what I was supposed to think, but I did know that only Diana could pacify it. I don’t want to believe anything Daniel implied, but Diana’s answers (or lack of it) were starting to confirm them all. All I need right now is my wife’s proper explanation.

I took one last look at the busy room, especially at that guarded door where I would be called later on for the presentation. My mind struggled with what I should deal with first. I know the presentation should be a priority, but I’ve become too upset and restless.

“I need to know the truth.”

Without thinking about anything else, I exited the lobby. I got my phone once more and looked online for the earliest flight back to New York.
