Dalia’s POV

“I’m pregnant.”

I rushed out with my eyes closed. I slowly opened my eyes when I didn’t hear anything from both of them. They both looked at me in confusion and I wanted to hit my head against the wall.

“When did you learn a new language, pumpkin?” My father asked and I sighed with frustration.

“I’m pregnant, dad. That was what I said,” I replied, looking in the direction of my parents. They both looked at me with their jaws dropping and I just stood still awaiting their next reaction.

They were disappointed in me, it was so evident in their eyes, mom was more disappointed than me than dad was but it still killed me that it had to be this way.

“You’re pregnant?” Mom repeated, disappointed dripping from every word. I nodded and shifted from one foot to another in discomfort.
