Chapter 82. Sincerity

Reese squeezed Amy’s hand. “It’s not too late to tell him now. You can still return to him. How long have you divorced with your husband?”

“Approximately four and a half months, but I’m still afraid. What if the one who threatened me has a lot of connection and power? I guessed they were my husband’s enemy, but I was unsure.”

“What if you call your ex-husband to tell him everything? You don’t need to return to the capital. If he has removed all people who tried to harm you, later you can be with him again.”

Amy pulled her hand from Reese’s hold. What Reese said was true. If she told Samuel without returning to the capital, their enemy might not know it. Maybe they still could be together. But then Amy glanced at Reese. 

“Why did you tell me this? If I return with my ex-husband, it means you won’t be with me.”

Reese nodded. “It’s true, but you will be happy and your ex-husband can take care and protect you and the baby.”

It touched her feelings since
