I sat on the wooden chair in the room where the interrogation was going on. The place was laced with cameras and the police officers there looked mean and didn't even make any attempt to smile.
I cracked my knuckles waiting for the so-called Detective Shawn to come in and start his work, thinking deeply on how Grams was coping knowing fully well I may be sent to jail just like my father.
After returning home the previous day, I had lied to her that everything had gone as planned and she had been singing praises and expressing her gratitude to God.
