Daniella heard him well, yet she was at a loss for words. She was still in excruciating pain and was on the verge of collapsing if she opened her lips to speak.

“You lied to me,” she stated after gathering all her bravery and power for a few moments.

“I’m sorry I didn’t inform you immediately. As you can see, I’m awaiting the appropriate moment.” He explained, but she shook her head as if disagreeing with him. He should have told her everything about his first family, but he made the mistake of assuming Veronica was his deceased girlfriend.

“When is the appropriate moment, Marcus?” She inquired in a tone that said he was a liar from the start. She refused to accept that the same individual had been let to do harm a second time. It was quite offensive that she allowed him to injure her again! She yanked herself free from his tight hold angrily. “Tell me, was your declaration of love for me also
