Chapter 38. Slapping Ferdinand’s Ego

As he flickered his eyes open he realized he had fallen asleep while pretending. He wanted to move but felt some weight on his right hand and looked to see Clarisse sleeping peacefully on his right hand. She seemed to have fallen asleep also, smiles appeared on his lips as he watched her sleep like a baby.

He gently pulled his arm which felt so sour, and carefully placed her on the bed properly. He smiled as he pulled the strings of hair away from her face and tucked them behind her ear, he wanted to peck her forehead but restrained himself, he couldn’t risk her waking up to that and giving her a wrong idea, he should work on gaining her trust, not give her more reason not to.

He stood straight and went to the bathroom.

Clinton was about to enter his room when Christian walked out of it, Clinton immediately found himself smiling as the previous night’s event played in his head again.

“Good morning sir”, he greeted but Christian walked past him adjusting his t
