Chapter 56. Risk Taking

Clarisse watched Christian heading towards his room after arriving from the party and contemplated on whether to tell him what was on her mind or not but he noticed she wasn’t heading to her room and stopped on his track. He turned back to her and saw her looking at him,

“Is everything okay?”, he asked,

“Yes”,

“Something you want to tell me?”,

“N...yes”, she hesitated,”I’m sorry”,

“Sorry for?”,

“For what I did to the dress”, she said and heaved a sigh expecting some harsh words as she braced herself,

“There’s no reason to be sorry for making it more beautiful”, he said and went inside his room leaving Clarisse who was disappointed.

She walked briskly to his room,

“Why? Why are you not angry? I ruined the dress and I’m sure it cost lots of fortune...”,

“Yes it does”, he cut her short and walked towards her.

Wondering what he was up to but before her curiosity settled in he flicked her forehead.

“Ouch”, she winced
