Chapter 61. Life and Surprises

Clarisse yawned and stretched her body as she stood up from the bed, she went into the bathroom to ease herself and wash her face after brushing her teeth. On getting back to the room she met Blue tiding the bed.

“Hey Blue”, she hurried to stop her,”I told you I’ll lay my bed by myself”,

“Good morning, ma’am, and I’m sorry, but this is my duty”, Blue said with a smile, appreciating her kindness.

“No, laying my bed is not your duty and I’ll appreciate it if you’ll refrain from doing it”,

“Tending to your needs and making you comfortable is my duty ma’am, telling me not to do it is like taking my job from me”,

“You said making me comfortable is your duty, but laying in my bed makes me uncomfortable; you can do everything, but not this one, please?”.

Blue was taken by surprise, she hadn’t worked with anyone like Clarisse, she is used to being overworked and her bosses complaining that she didn’t do her task very well but that wasn’t the case with her
