Chapter 65. Intimacy With a Stranger

Alice walked briskly towards the parking lot to get her car, desperately wanting to exit the building. She wiped her tears away with the back of her hand ruining the makeup that turned her face into a Halloween costume, her mind was heavy with pain and anger, frustration and disappointment, she couldn’t accept defeat and her mind was preoccupied with how to show him the power of a woman and how she would deal with Clarisse that he dares to speak highly of in front of her.

“Alice”.

The sudden call of her name jolted her, and she turned abruptly towards the direction her name was called, and she saw him. She grunted the moment she set eyes on him.

He walked to her,”Hi Alice”,

“Hi? What are you doing here?”, she asked, her anger written on her voice.

“I came to see you, went to your friend’s house but they said you weren’t there, went to your house and was told that you weren’t around, I coincidentally saw your car heading here and I waited for you...”,
