Chapter 153. Aloha

Amelie’s POV

I can’t believe I’m in Hawaii! I have dreamed about coming here since I was a little girl. My parents had their honeymoon here, and my dad would tell me stories of all the fun and exciting things they did. It didn’t matter how many times he told me the same story; I would listen intently and be amazed by it each time. My dad would always tell me the best part of Hawaii was the people. I couldn’t wait to meet people and share in the Aloha spirit.

The drive to the hotel was relatively quick, although it could have been hours, and I wouldn’t mind. I stared wide-eyed out the window, taking in the landscape. I know it was mostly traffic and concrete on the highway, but it didn’t matter. The closer we got to the hotel, the more the landscape changed. Palm trees and a glimpse of the ocean mesmerized me.
