Nathan’s POV

Dinner with friends was exactly what we needed. We had a lot of laughs, and it really seemed to help Amelie put things into perspective.

I had someone come in and pack everything while we were at dinner. After we finished dining, we hugged and said goodbye, then we caught our car service to the airport hangar.

It was probably best that we were flying at night. It would give us the chance to sleep on the plane. If we had endless hours to sit and think about the situation we were walking into, it would have really done a number on Amelie’s psyche.
