Chapter 335. Paul and Madison: 12

Paul’s POV

Dinner was amazing. It’s always great to get together with friends and share laughs and good conversations. It seemed to lift Amelie’s spirits as well, which we were all happy about. Madison and I called it an early night, as we had to start packing our suitcases. After playing a couple of games of cribbage, we retired for the night. We woke up this morning, once again, tangled with each other. We are en route to the airport, bound for Los Angeles, then on to New York.

“So, did you have a good time on Maui?” I asked Madison.

“The second half of the trip was amazing,” Madison grinned. “Thanks for taking care of me and letting me stay in your room.”

“No thanks needed. I just wish I knew what your father was doing earlier so I could have gotten you away from him sooner,” I advised.
