Chapter 151. Just a Little Longer
Lani and Kane sat wearily on the bed when at the hotel.
Lani’s sprained ankle made it inconvenient for her to move around. So she would call Kane to carry her wherever she wanted to go.
Kane didn’t find it bothersome. In fact, he happily lifted Lani whenever she spoke up.
“You’re too light!”
“You should eat more. When I carry you, I hardly feel a thing.”
Kane gently stroked Lani’s head as she sighed.
Kane ordered food from a nearby restaurant. When it arrived, it was still piping hot. Lani sat on the edge of the bed, eating while propping her chin.
“Is today not enjoyable because of me? We should have had a romantic candlelit dinner.”
Lani blamed herself. She had sprained her ankle on the first day in the country, causing inconvenience to Kane.
Kane didn’t think so. He chuckled.
“It’s still fine. Isn’t hotel food good enough?”
“If you want candles, I can ask the hotel staff to set up a candlelit dinner for you.”
