Kane remained silent, pretending to be asleep. Lani, left with no other option, took the initiative to speak up.
“Is it because of the scene from earlier?” she asked.
The mention of that scene made Kane unable to stay silent or pretend any longer. He turned, hugging Lani, but his whole body seemed to shrink, appearing vulnerable and pitiful.
“Yeah. Every time I see you being intimate with someone else, I find it hard to breathe, and it hurts. Even though I know it’s just a scene in a movie and not real life, my heart still feels constricted,” Kane confessed.
Seeing Kane genuinely distressed, Lani decided to stop teasing him. She gently patted his back and spoke in a soothing tone.
“Those kissing scenes use stuntman; I won’t directly film intimate scenes with Eric. Ever since you got upset about the previous kissing scene, I’ve been using stuntman. She’ll stand in for me in those intimate scenes, like the kissing scenes with my male co-star.”
