Chapter 99. You Should Make Me Kneel on a Keyboard
That evening, Lani didn’t cry or plead for Kane to stop, as she didn’t even have the strength to moan. Kane’s kiss lingering on her collarbone felt dull, prompting her to push his head away while muttering.
“Don’t kiss there anymore.”
Afterward, Kane said something more, but Lani wasn’t alert enough to hear, already drifting off to sleep on the bed.
Lani was so exhausted that she couldn’t get out of bed the next day. Ultimately, Kane lifted her, helped her brush her teeth, and fed her breakfast.
Most of Lani’s day was spent in bed, lazily browsing the web and watching movies. Kane naturally lay beside her, holding her. He looked at Lani’s phones, occasionally feeding her snacks with care.
In the evening, Kane had plans to go out for drinks with Roger, Leo, Ryan, and a few other close friends. Initially, he intended to take Lani along, but seeing her still tired and unwilling to leave the warm blanket, he decided to stay home.
