Mabel POV

Pandemonium broke out the instant Angelina hit the ground.

Her men spotted Alec and made to pull out their guns. “Freeze! FBI! Hands behind your heads, now!”

They froze as red laser dots danced across their chests. One by one, they dropped to their knees and surrendered to the FBI agents who proceeded to handcuff them.

I couldn't believe it. It was over. Angelina was dead—and my kids were free.

“Mommy!!” the kids squealed and rushed into my arms.

I caught them. Tears stung my eyes as I held them tight and kissed their foreheads. God, I missed them.
