Ruth POV

The incessant buzzing of my phone woke me up from sleep. I picked up without glancing at the screen.

“Hello, sunshine.”

A smile spread across my lips as I heard Kyu-hun's voice.

Since the yacht party, he has been calling to check up on me— the first person to call when I wake up, and the last person to call before I go to bed.

“Hi, Kyu-hun. Good morning,” I murmured, slipping out of bed.

“Did I wake you?”

“No, no... I was already awake," I lied, shuffling out of my bedroom.

“How are you this Wednesday morning?

“I'm good...about to make myself a cup of coffee,” I mumbled, walking into the kitchen. “And you?”

“I'm fine,
