“Code Red! We have a missing patient!” The announcement blared over the intercom as soon as they were informed about the recent upheaval, the voice sharp and urgent, “Security, report to all exits immediately!”

The hospital had erupted into chaos in an instant, as the once-ordered corridors became disoriented, with doctors and nurses scampering around with palpable urgency.

“Check all wards on that floor now!” Doctor Betty shouted, her voice barely cutting the hubbub everyone had been thrown into, “He couldn’t have gone far with her.”

“Nurse Suzanne. Follow me to the surveillance room now. We should catch him in one of the cameras,” she ordered in motion, already on her way to the elevator, her heart beating fast in fear.

“That bastard!” Doctor Betty cussed under her breath, her body quivering in fear that she had neglected the persistent gut feeling of her sixth sense from the day she saw him bring Nadia into the hospital in his arms, and talked about an
