“Code Red! We have a missing patient!” The announcement blared over the intercom as soon as they were informed about the recent upheaval, the voice sharp and urgent, “Security, report to all exits immediately!”
The hospital had erupted into chaos in an instant, as the once-ordered corridors became disoriented, with doctors and nurses scampering around with palpable urgency.
“Check all wards on that floor now!” Doctor Betty shouted, her voice barely cutting the hubbub everyone had been thrown into, “He couldn’t have gone far with her.”
