Chapter 7

I came out of the bathroom and heard the land phone ringing. 

I wondered who was calling at this hour and picked up the phone and heard Beth asking me with concern, “Cassey are you all right, I have been calling you for the past half an hour but you did not pick up the phone, so I dialed the landline.”

 I relented for making Beth worry, as I had slept in the bathtub and did not think about the time so, I apologized and said, “I am sorry Beth, I was just taking a shower. Is everything all right?’ 

Beth assured me that everything was fine and the cake had arrived. "I don’t know how you, managed to arrange such a beautiful cake. I will talk about it when I get back home. Anyways the reason I called you was to let you know that Moa had called as you were unreachable and he was worried, so he called me I assured him that you were fine.” 

“I almost forgot that he is supposed to arrive tomorrow morning. I will call him right away.” I spoke hurrie
