Chapter 110. Epilogue
"Happy birthday, Nonna." I beamed up at my grandmother, as I watched her waddle downstairs with the aid of her walking stick.
Today was her ninetieth birthday, and it also coincided with the wedding anniversary of my late parents.
We had decided to celebrate in a big way to mark the successful completion of Nana's chemotherapy treatment after three whole years, and also the miraculous stoppage of the cancer metastasis.
If someone had told twenty five year old me that I'd eventually learn to stop avoiding any event related to my parents, I'd have scoffed at them.
I had also gotten the courage to visit my parents' graves a week ago, for the first time since I became an adult.
The last time I visited them was more than a decade ago; on the day before I was to travel to boarding school in London.
