Chapter 37. Overbearing

Sofie's POV

"Good morning, Sof." Katie grinned, as I plopped down beside her and set my tote bag on the table.

I mirrored her grin, "Morning, Katie." 

"So, I heard something. Apparently, that bastard Cornelius is quitting. I was so shocked when my boyfriend gave me the news, I mean what could have pushed him to do that?" 

I feigned cluelessness as I brought out my writing paraphernalia, "Right, but isn't that good news? I mean a sex offender who clearly shouldn't be loitering around and molesting women is going faraway from us."

"Yeah, I know. I'm just worried for the girls at his new job, what if he tries to do that to one of them? I heard one of the third year girls saying something about how he used to threaten the female students at his former schools to have sex with him and if they refused, he'd make them repeat that year.
