Sofie’s POV

I woke up with a throbbing headache that made the blood vessels on either side of my head pound as if they were about to burst through my skin. The sunbeams seeping through the window blinds didn’t help matters at all, combining to give me an even worse migraine. Groaning, I squeezed my eyes shut and gently massaged my temples to soothe my tense nerves.

When I fluttered my eyes open again, I realized I wasn’t in my bedroom, and I sat up with a start. The sight that met my eyes made me scream, and I almost tumbled out of the bed.
