Chapter 40

Alden immediately panicked, seeing Alice wincing in pain while holding her stomach. Clear fluid was also coming out from her lower abdomen, making him lose control of the situation.

Without caring about the people around them, Alden carried Alice and rushed back into the hospital, calling out for help from the doctors. He didn't care if people laughed at him as he shouted like a madman. All that mattered to him was the safety of Alice and their twins.

"Your wife is about to give birth," said the doctor who was attending to Alice. He immediately instructed two nurses to prepare everything Alice and the babies would need, after updating Alden on her condition.

"Can I go in to accompany her?" Alden asked.

"Of course."

The doctor allowed Alden to enter the room, to be by Alice's side as she went through the process of delivering their twin babies. Alden could only hug and pray, hoping everything would go smoothly and their children would be born safely.
