Chapter 44

Upon reaching the room, Gilbert, unsure of what to do, chose to go to the hotel room's balcony. He enjoyed the night breeze and the lights from the surrounding tall buildings. Trying to distract himself from his troubled thoughts, he waited for Viona to remove all her makeup and wedding gown.

After Viona finished and came out of the bathroom, Gilbert entered and did the same. However, he forgot something before entering the bathroom – spare clothes, something he should have had after taking a shower.

He should have asked the driver to bring them to the hotel, but instead, he found himself lost in thought while standing on the balcony. Consequently, when Gilbert finished his shower, he only had a bathrobe to cover his body. It was impossible to put on the clothes he wore earlier, as they would be soaked in sweat.
