Sherena's irritation at Edrik's behavior at Gilbert's house earlier hadn't disappeared, and now she was confronted with the presence of Viona's father who was having a conversation with both of their parents.

Feeling the uncomfortable aura in the luxurious house, Sherena quickly hid behind Edrik's back, using him as a shield to face the parents who were now looking at them.

"Here they are, the ones we've been waiting for. After the hotel informed us that you both checked out early," said Edrik's mother when they approached and sat on a sofa in front of them.

"Yes, Mom. Sherena and I had to go back home because my wife here never likes to stay in a hotel for too long. Besides not wanting to be disturbed by hotel staff who want to clean the room, Sherena also dislikes hotel food. So, I decided to take her back home," explained Edrik. He uttered a little lie, but there was still some truth in it.
