Caroline’s POV

“Is it true that you are Caroline?” Hugo asked me when we both entered Andrius’s office. He looked agitated when he went to the swivel chair and sat. He crossed his legs while he was examining me.

“I saw Caroline when she was young, and I knew she looked like her mother. But you didn’t even look like her.” Hugo was more severe as if he was interviewing me for a job offer. Did he forget that I got my face changed because of the accident that had happened to me?

“I looked like my mother. I got plastic surgery because of the accident. It was Beatrice and Reya’s fault that I needed to change my face. I went blind if you wanted to ask me what happened to me. That mirror damaged my face, and some of the mirrors went inside my eyes, which led me to be blind.” I explained. Hugo took a deep breath as he nodded at me. He was sad when I mentioned that I got blind because of his wife.

“I didn’t know that Andrius was sleeping with you. In fact, I was search
