“Though I’m afraid Ruhn will get bullied at school because of his name. The other kids can be so cruel these days.” Emmeline pulled back with a solemn shake of her head, trying her best to appear wise and all-knowing about the ways of children, despite her own lack of experience in that department.

Minnie slapped her shoulder in playful admonishment, making Emmeline wince slightly at the unexpected sting.

A mischievous grin played across Minnie’s full lips and her eyes danced with amusement.

She dramatically waved her hands in front of her as if physically brushing away Emmeline’s ridiculous notion. “You, Tae, and all you stodgy old Riverwalkers just don’t understand true innovation and distinction!” she exclaimed.

“There are a thousand boring Mimis out there, all blending together in one indistinguishable mass. But Ruhn?” Minnie paused for effect, quirking one arched eyebrow. “Ruhn is unique in his name and spirit! He’ll stand out in all the best ways.”
