Chapter 53. Don’t Kill Me, Master
Catalina's POV
There was silence, I bit my cheek to keep myself from saying anything else. I looked everywhere but for him, I couldn't face him.
I wanted to adjourn the discussion but that came tumbling out instead, I was so finished.
I had to go make a murderer angry.
Good job, Catalina.
He just stared at me, his brows furrowed as he tried to make sense of what I said.
He opened his mouth to say something but he closed it and sighed, his shoulder was straight like he was tensed.
He held out his hand for the file and I shakily gave it to him, he took it gently.
My heart was beating so fast that I was afraid I would have a heart attack.
I wanted to explain more but from the look on his face, he didn't want to hear it.
He slammed the file down on the table, and I flinched. My eyes widened when I saw him breathing hard like he was struggling to stay calm.
That made me confused.
