Chapter 74. A Day Off

Catalina's POV

I hurriedly hid the letter just as Killian came running to me.

"What is it?" he surveyed me for injuries.

"Sorry, it was a bug."

He looked at me suspiciously but didn't say anything, he led me into the house and locked the door.

I was still shaken by the message, it was clear as day.

I wondered if it was a joke.

I don't remember taking off my clothes or showering. I could hear Killian asking me if I was alright.

I don't even remember answering him.

He put his hands around me, drawing me to him in a tight hug.

"Hey, are you okay?" he asked.

I nodded, giving him a fake smile. "Yes, I am fine. Just tired."

He looked at me with suspicion again but didn't push it.

For once, I was happy he decided to listen to me.

I prepared for bed and without waiting for him, I slept off knowing he was going to be right beside me keeping me safe.

I had nightmares about those drawings
