Chapter 90. Safe At Last

Catalina's POV

Killian came in, his face fierce but filled with concern.

My body sagged with relief but I tensed up when Vixen laughed suddenly.

"What is this?" she asked the officers who approached us cautiously.

She gripped my head tighter making me cry out.

"I guess you thought you were safe now that your lover is here." she sneered.

Her knife-edged closer to my throat, "Think again, bitch."

I met Killian's angry gaze with my teary ones.

"Drop the knife, Vixen." Killian urged.

If anything, her grip got tighter. I saw the same spots again in my vision. I sagged against her, the energy zapped out of me.

"Don't order me around. This is all your fault," she screamed at Him.
