Chapter 6

It was night at the Ford Mansion, and Bruce had just arrived, while Lyra hid in the guest room, afraid he would still scold her for the morning incident.

She flinched slightly when she heard a knock on the door. "Wh... who is there?" She stammered.

"Sire Bruce wants you to retire back into the room." A maid responded, and her heartbeat increased irregularly.

" Um. Okay " She forced out a reply. Why would Bruce want her back in their room? He obviously doesn't care about her, right? Is he planning on hitting her? Or locking her in the room?

She was baffled and scared at the same time. Should she call Brian? But it is late; he can not just come over, right? What about her mom? Should she inform her?

She was oblivious of what to do. She ruffled her hair in frustration, grabbed her phone, and slowly left the room. She entered their room and pushed the door open slowly.
