The moment we arrived at Nina's house, accompanied by the detective, a surge of anxiety washed over me. The air was thick with uncertainty, and my heart pounded in my chest. Finding Ian was all-consuming, the sole purpose driving my every step.

With a resolute expression, the detective and I combed through every room, our eyes scanning for any signs of Ian's presence. The weight of the situation pressed upon me, and a mixture of fear and hope fueled my determination.
