As Detective Carlos and I sat in the living room, tension filled the air. The detective informed me that their headquarters was working diligently to run the plate number of the car, hoping it would lead them to Ian's whereabouts. Each passing moment felt like an eternity, the uncertainty gnawing at my insides.
