Chapter 71

Adele had been trying Jamal’s line all day to no avail. No response came. She had even tried the PA's number, but it didn't go through as well.

She was sad that Jamal had not bothered to call her the entire day.

"Adele." Kelly called and Adele turned to look at her. It was five pm and they were all preparing to go home.

"Yes Kelly."

"Here." Said Kelly, extending a decorated box to her. "It's for you."

"What is it?"

"Just some chocolates to cheer you up. I noticed you've been very edgy all day, same as yesterday. I hope you feel better after eating them." Said Kelly and before she knew it, Adele crashed into her arms.

"Thank you very much, Kelly. Thank you for caring about me even though I'm a brat to you most of the time."

"It's okay, I understand. People go through hard times. I hope you find a solution to your problems."

"I hope so too, thanks again."

"You are welcome." Said Kelly with a sweet smile as she left the office
